Carrier Oils

What is a carrier oil?

A carrier oil is any plant-based oil that is used to dilute essential oils.  Since essential oils are potent and some can cause skin irritations.  It is a good idea to dilute some of them with a carrier oil.   Also, it has the benefit being able to spread a few drops of essential oil over a large area.  Carrier oils are also less volatile than EOs.  Meaning it will help slow down the evaporation of the EO.
